How to Get a Correct Score in Football: Step by Step (Anderlecht 1-2 Lyon)
Read the Anderlecht–Lyon software screenshot, understand ranked scores and goal totals, and distinguish a selected result from measured accuracy.

A correct-score table assigns estimates to different scorelines. This worked example uses a stored Anderlecht–Lyon screenshot and the 1-2 result on 16 September 2026, listed in UEFA's official results.
Read the displayed probabilities

| Rank | Score | Displayed probability |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1-1 | 9.75% |
| 2 | 1-2 | 8.60% |
| 3 | 2-1 | 7.82% |
The figures are visible in the stored image. A generation timestamp and product version are not visible, so this image alone does not establish that the forecast preceded kick-off.
The three scores sum to 26.17%, leaving 73.83% for other scores if the entries form part of one probability distribution. The first-ranked score lost in this example; the second matched the result. A second-ranked match must not be counted as a successful first-ranked selection.
Interpret the goal totals carefully
| Total | Over | Under |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 | 96.48% | 3.52% |
| 1.5 | 84.87% | 15.13% |
| 2.5 | 65.33% | 34.67% |
| 3.5 | 43.39% | 56.61% |
Under one consistent distribution, exactly two goals receive 19.54% (84.87 minus 65.33), and exactly three receive 21.94% (65.33 minus 43.39). The combined two-or-three-goal probability is 41.48%. Calling that range certain or dominant would overstate the displayed numbers.
Keep a rule fixed before assessing outcomes
Decide whether you are evaluating the first score, a defined set of scores, or another market before the event. Save the original output and timestamp. Then add every result, including losses, without changing the rule to fit the outcome.

Choosing a tool
The Correct Score Football Software page describes its features. Consult its demonstration and product-specific documentation for the meaning of side-panel labels. The website methodology describes the free website model, not verified internals of this workbook.
Correction, 19 September 2026: Verified displayed figures and the official result; corrected the goal-range explanation and removed unsupported pre-match timing and general-performance claims. The earlier selected betting-return example was not a complete performance record.
